CutMyPic Update:007

Ok, just finished one more update that gives Bloggers the world over the ability to put CutMyPic Step 1 into their blog or website. Just copy and past a simple line of code and voilĂ ! CutMyPic will appear on your page as it does on the left side of this blog. I made it in two sizes for now. The one on the left side of this blog is the large one. Pictured below is the small one. I *could make it even smaller, but I'd like to see if there is any demand for it first.
Also added some buttons, and images for people to use if they are just wanting a to link into the page. I'll post a pic below this of the medium sized button as an example. Hope this gets the word out about our little tool!

Click on one of the following to goto our media page and get the code!

CutMyPic Update:006

Hey all! Threw in one more thing to speed things up if your pic's destination is Facebook or Twitter. Upon hitting the "preview" button, you'll see a little slide down button panel which looks like this:

Simply click on your preferred network and share your newly modified image immediately!

Cheers!

CutMyPic Update:005

Well, I've been working hard to bring some new features to the site after having to add ads to the bottom to try and keep the site going for free. Some of the new features include color filtering, sharpening, and denoise features that will really make a lower quality pic look a lot better! Please give them a try especially if the uploaded pic was taken with your phone for example! Here's a little screen shot of the new features.

Apologies!

Sorry to announce, we now have ads at the bottom of our site. It's unfortunate, I know. Even more unfortunate is that without any ad support, this site will die.
In this day and age, so many services are available for free, but what many people may not realize is, those sites cost someone money to run and maintain. Hence, we now have ads.

Apologies to anyone whom might find them annoying. However, if you've found use for our site, please don't hesitate to give us a couple clicks so we can keep this service alive! :)

All the best,

CutMyPic Admin...

CutMyPic Update:003

Ok, changed the YUI plug-ins to their latest versions. Also added the animate library to give a smooth feeling to the drop shadow adjuster.

Additionally, put some label fields on the radio buttons to give users a bigger area to click on, ie you can now click on the shape and it will select that corresponding radio button.

Aslo a couple changes to the finish screen. Added a huge link to our social network site WhatPercent.Com and put in a little social networks tab so people can share the tool with their friends. Hoping nobody finds these new additives to the finish page too annoying. It will look similar to this...

Happy Cuttin'!

Known bugs & issues

Ok, so this site is by no means perfect and some small bugs seem to be lingering.

  • If you are using Safari, when you hit the save button, the image will be saved as mypicture.html. Leaving the user to change the file name to mypicture.png.
  • Output of CutMyPic will always be of the format .PNG which is not compatible with Microsoft browsers earlier than IE7.
  • Many mailed photos are not making it to their intended In-Boxes as a result of being caught in people's spam filters. Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot I can do to help remedy that situation. I have found that if more text is included in the body, many filters will let the mail go through. But if people send pictures with short body texts, they are often thrown in the spam box. = (

Anyone whom finds any other bugs I haven't listed here, please let me know!
